De Smet, South Dakota De Smet was the last Laura Ingalls Wilder related place we visited on our summer vacation. It was great to see the home that "Pa" built but it was also a little sad visiting the graveyard where Ma, Pa, and some of the children are buried.

The Ingalls home "The house that Pa Built" has been redone and well preserved, this is the sign next to the home in De Smet, South Dakota.

      This is the home behind us, as you can tell it was a job well done by Pa in 1887

This is the Graveyard that Pa, Ma, Mary, Caroline and Alonzo & Laura's baby are buried.
